About Me

Hello, I'm Judith.

After studying A-level Art, I trained and worked as a Speech and Language Therapist and raised my family before creativity found me again. I did not encounter printmaking until my early forties, when I fell instantly and irrevocably in love with the medium of linocut. I am entirely self-taught, and my special needs training underpins my drive to teach accessible linocut workshops for people of all ages and abilities.

I work from my kitchen studio in Kent, making small and thoughtful prints with my two cast-iron Victorian book presses. I print subjects that make my soul sing - big skies, bleak landscapes, tiny flowers, found objects and old things. My adventures as a recorder of Ancient Trees, as a registered mudlark, a fossil hunter and a trainee hedgelayer often influence my art.

Come and say hello - you can find me on instagram and at local fairs, and you can also learn how to make linocuts with me!
